Having the right facilities to say ‘yes’ to clients is priceless.
Founded as a transformer manufacturer, JST Power Equipment recently established a new production facility in Lake Mary, FL, to produce a new product line: air-insulated tap changers. A challenge passed with flying colours, thanks to a combined automated punching and shearing machine.
The changeover has begun by conducting weeks of research and soon after, the JST management team purchased a Shear Genius from Prima Power, equipped with a Combo Tower for sheet metal storage. But that was not all: the plan also included a Prima Power eP-servo-electric press brake.
The result of all these machines is finished parts with little to no scrap, minimal manual labor and optimum productivity.
